My name is Zoe and I am a second year undergraduate at York University. The major I am currently taking is Information Technology, BA - Honours. The reason why I’m taking this course is: a. I applied to Computer Science but didn’t get in (bummer!) b. Technology is something that I’m interested in for potential job opportunities and as a whole. Something that I want to do after I graduate is work in the Coding related field, such as software/web development, as I enjoy coding itself.
Special skills that I have are Coding (Java), using Microsoft Suites, and soft skills such as Independency, Flexibility, and Supportivity. Recently, I’ve been dabbling in some mini projects, such as websites and Discord Applications. Both involve coding languages I have not learned during courses so I am self learning them. Even if it's difficult to understand, I am having fun learning all the different tools and applying them in various ways. Fixing physical things isn’t exactly my forte. I fixed things online, but those itself were small errors that could be solved with a simple google search. If there was something I’d like to learn how to fix, it would most likely be Macbook related, as I currently own a Macbook myself.
Recently, I have not won any awards or received special recognition. I have won awards during middle school (3 that is!), but considering the time length I myself would not consider it an accomplishment on its own. A group that I belong to and attend is York’s P2C, which is a Christian Club where people do worship and various things. Things I like to do in my spare time is usually watch Youtube, Netflix, and dabble in some coding. A fun fact about me is that I don’t know how to ride a bike :)
