Hey there! My name is Jean Paul but you can call me JP for short.

I’m currently a sophomore at York University majoring in Information Technology with a passion for programming and robotics.

I have a love for cybersecurity and I hope to become a security analyst in the future. Ever since I’ve gotten my hands on a computer, surfing the internet has become a never ending hobby. Learning new things and researching the latest and greatest feats of technology keeps my passion for technology constant.

I’ve always been the kid my family and friends come to for help with fixing something. Whether it be their computer not turning on to fixing headphones that aren’t outputting sound, I’m there to fix it. I’d like to learn how to repair more complex technology like radios, pianos, speakers, and anything else that we use day-to-day.

I was the head programming lead in my high school robotics team and assistant solderer. I also received an award at graduation for being the top computer engineering student. Nowadays, I spend my time working on little coding side projects and taking things apart. Outside of technology, I spend most of my time researching random things that interest me, watching YouTube, building websites for local businesses, and hanging out with my friends.

I’m looking forward to contributing to iFixit and challenging myself to fix things I’ve never fixed. Learning to fix more complex things and helping other users fix their things in the process is an amazing mission. I’ve got a ton of broken things lying around that I’m looking forward to fixing!
