Hi, I’m Raiyan, I’m a first year Information technology major currently attending York University. I have a general interest in technology and a few years of experience working within the IT space.
My interest in technology goes back as far as I can remember and started with me breaking and trying to reassemble the toys I had, when I was a child. This was further accelerated when I grew a little older and would help my dad work on cars. Him being a mechanic and also being very curious about how things work, further fanned the flames of my need to tinker with things. My fascination with technology particularly came when I would discover gaming to be one of my passions. This would lead me down the rabbit hole of looking at all the newest consoles, PC components and corresponding peripherals, eventually resulting in me building multiple PC’s.
With this knowledge of technology it has led me to land some positions working within the IT field. Most notably working as a helpdesk at Equitable Bank(EQ Bank) where I learned pivotal skills of problem solving and being able to communicate solutions effectively. As it pertains to IFixit, I will draw on this experience as well as my computer building background to provide comprehensive guides on computer hardware issues as well as common software, PC upkeep, and program specific questions and processes.
