Patrick Ellis

I am currently studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of North Texas, I am an undergraduate however I am planning to get a Master's in Mechanical Engineering along with music performance and composition certificates.

I am studying Engineering and planning for grad school to achieve my ultimate goal of a lead engineer position at SpaceX. SpaceX's mission is to further human civilization, and I want to play a role in that. I am also looking to receive certifications in playing music and composition of music because that is something I am very passionate about, along with the goal of SpaceX.

I put these together because they go hand in hand, My number 1 hobby is Band, Band pushed me to make me into who I am today. Band is a powerful tool to help students and to teach them how to learn. Because of band I in drum corps which is like a professional marching band, I spent the '24 summer with Music City Drum Corps, and I am spending '25-'28 with the Bluecoats. Another Big hobby is well rocketry, I want to work at SpaceX because I started playing a game called Kerbal Space Program during COVID and it gave me so much passion and knowledge for rockets, That is what mostly led to my dream of working on rockets, because it would be me just playing that game all day but in real life.
