Collaboration: Use Microsoft teams to communicate daily with undergraduates, graduates, and faculty members on lab projects. Group projects include research projects for the Department of Defense as well as IACUC (Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee) animal studies with Tosh Farms, a national pork supplier.

Lab Skills: Performed in vivo and in vitro studies which evaluated biomaterials and their antibacterial properties and antimicrobial resistance as well as cell toxicity studies. Used HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography) to work on a standard for the novel therapeutic, Royal Jelly. Ran Fluorescence Live/Dead Bacterial Imaging showing a high kill rate for s. Aureus (Staph). Operated BioTek GEN5 for sample data analysis. Performed surgery in small animal studies for tissue retrieval and biopsy.

Biolab II Research Assistant, University of Memphis – Memphis, TN     Jan 2023 – Present ● Currently working with Tosh Farms to find the cause and a treatment for lameness in sows to prevent millions of dollars in loss of revenue for the industry.

●        Performed surgical tissue retrieval and histogram analysis on small animals for a burn study through the Department of Defense which included antibacterial testing and analysis.

●        Performed antimicrobial and antibacterial studies and analyzed data for plastics commonly used in hospitals, implants, as well as other medical devices.

Lead Legal Assistant/Office Manager, Ralston Buchanan PLLC – Memphis, TN                                                            Jan 2020 – Dec 2022

●        Drafted, reviewed, and approved legal documents for consumer protection attorneys for dozens of cases simultaneously.

●        Managed a boutique consumer law firm by implementing document templates, provided comfort to victims and potentials clients, as well as supervised day-to-day finances and office supply purchasing.

●        Administered a calendar of dozens of court dockets through our case management software, Clio.

Prior service industry experience includes supervision of front and back of house, purchase of inventory, organization of the food truck schedule and menu, resolution of personnel issues by advertising job openings, interviewing potential employees, and referring for hire. Prior logistics industry experience includes international purchasing and distribution of inventory, processing of orders to clients, and fabrication of the annual catalog of over two thousand elements.
