Ants on a log is a snack consisting of celery, peanut butter, and raisins. It is so-named since the raisins on the celery look similar to bugs. It is often a snack for children.
Ingredients
- Celery stalks (enough to have 1 or 2 for each person)
- Peanut butter
- Raisins
Procedure
- Cut the celery up into pieces, maybe 4 or 5 inches (about 10-13 cm). This is the "log".
- Spread peanut butter on top of the celery.
- Put raisins on top. These are the "ants".
Notes, tips, and variations
- Peanuts are a common allergen. If serving to children, check for peanut allergies.
