Very common, stone is the next stage up after wood. Great to build with early game.
Obtaining
Stone is found basically everywhere underground, above y=0.
You can also get it when a water source block touches flowing lava.
When stone is mined, it drops cobblestone. To get stone, you must smelt cobblestone in a furnace.
