Mary is mentioned only in passing, in the memories Severus Snape passes to Harry in the Shrieking Shack. Lily, talking to Severus, mentions something Dark that Severus' friend Mulciber had done to Mary. Later, when Severus is waiting outside the entrance to Gryffindor Tower, Lily says that it was Mary who had told her that he was waiting there for her.
