The RWD CA18DET can be sourced from two different JDM chassis, the 1987 - 1988 Nissan Silvia S12 GT-X and the 1989 and 1990 S13 Silvia or 180SX.

The 1.8 L CA18DET produces 175 hp (130 kW) and 168 ft.lbf (228 Nm). It has a DOHC aluminum head with 16 valves. It has a Garrett T25 (.60 A/R), Multiport Fuel Injection, Bore is 83mm, and stroke is 83.6mm. This near square design, coupled with the head design, allows CA18DETs to revv well beyond 7,000RPMs, even in stock trim.
