İkra Kayır (born 4 September 2001) is a Turkish taekwondo practitioner who competes in international events in the women's lightweight and welterweight categories. She represents İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor.

Career

İkra Kayır began her international career in junior categories and soon achieved success at the European U21 Taekwondo Championships, winning a bronze medal in the 62 kg division at the 2018 championships held in Warsaw, Poland. She improved on this result the following year, winning silver in the same weight category at the 2019 European U21 Championships in Helsingborg, Sweden.[1]

In August 2022, Kayır represented Turkey at the 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games in Konya, where she won the bronze medal in the women's 62 kg event.[2]

At the 2021 Summer World University Games, held in Chengdu, China, in August 2023, Kayır won the silver medal in the women's 67 kg division.[3] She continues to compete for İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor and is recognized as one of the promising Turkish taekwondo athletes of her generation.
