ABC News Studios is a long-form documentary production unit of ABC News that is part of Disney General Entertainment Content, itself a division of The Walt Disney Company, the division focused on creating premium, narrative non-fiction content like documentaries, series, and specials mainly for Disney own streaming services and networks like ABC and Hulu, including other third-party channels services.

History

ABC News Studios was founded on July 26 2022, when ABC News announced its expansion to its documentary efforts by launching a dedicated production arm that would bring all of ABC News' documentary and docuseries under a new documentary division. The new documentary studio division would produce original programming for Disney's networks & streaming services and other platforms.[1]
