Aquino Bañaria Plotado is a Filipino entrepreneur, film producer, and philanthropist based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. He is the founder of Aquino Plotado Real Estate International, Aquino Plotado Film International, Aquino Plotado Philanthropy Foundation and is recognized for his work in both the real estate and independent film industries.[1] Plotado has also gained attention for his philanthropic efforts supporting educational institutions in the Philippines.[2]
Career
Real estate

Plotado began his real estate career, where he reportedly closed his first transaction in his first month and later surpassed his annual sales target in one deal, which included the sale of a penthouse valued at AED 17 million in the Danah Bay development on Marjan Island, Ras Al Khaimah. In June 2025, Plotado secured a beachfront real estate project on Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, valued at AED 1 billion. The deal was handled through his former employer, fäm Properties.[3]
Film Production
In 2024, Plotado founded Aquino Plotado Film International, marking his entry into the entertainment industry. His debut production, As The Call, So The Echo, was selected as a finalist at the 11th Emirates Short Film Festival in 2025. The film, starring Enzo Pineda and directed by Rusty Palacio Guarin, won awards for Best Actor and Best Director and was nominated for Best Film and Best Child Actor for Prince España.[4]
Philanthropy
Plotado is the founder of the Aquino Plotado Philanthropy Foundation, which supports education in underserved communities in the Philippines. In March 2025, he donated ₱1,000,000 along with educational equipment to Potrero National High School in Malabon City.[5]

In July 2025, Plotado received the Billion Dirhams Deal Maker award at the Emirates Real Estate Awards 2025, held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The event was recognized as a high-profile gathering, attended by prominent figures from the fields of government, business, and royalty.[6] In April 2025, Plotado was honored with the Star Icon Award for Outstanding Filipino Entrepreneur in Property and Entertainment at the Global Filipino Icon Awards in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The event was attended by various journalists, actors, celebrities, and public figures from the Philippines recognized for their influence and contributions to society.[7][8]
Personal life
Aquino Plotado was born in Naga, Camarines Sur, to Ireno Goleta Plotado, who worked as a farmer, and Carmen Bigay Bañaria, a dressmaker. Plotado has a twin sister named Cory; they were named after former Philippine president Corazon Aquino. Plotado has two sons, Sheikh and Hamdan, named in honor of the Crown Prince of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.[9] Plotado remains active within Filipino communities and is known for his advocacy on behalf of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs). He also maintains a presence on social media, where he shares updates related to his business activities and humanitarian initiatives.[10][11]
