Czerna [ˈt͡ʂɛrna] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Iłowa, within Żagań County, Lubusz Voivodeship, in western Poland.[1] It lies approximately 4 km (2 mi) north-east of Iłowa, 11 km (7 mi) south-west of Żagań, and 49 km (30 mi) south of Zielona Góra.

History

During World War II, the German Nazi government operated a forced labour subcamp of the Stalag VIII-C prisoner-of-war camp in the village.[2]
