Harry Whitwell (born 16 November 2005) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Forest Green Rovers on loan from West Bromwich Albion.
Club career
West Bromwich Albion
Born in Oxford, Whitwell signed his first professional contract with West Bromwich Albion on 17 November 2022.[2][3] He made his professional debut for the club on 7 January 2024 in the third round of the FA Cup, coming on as a substitute in a 4–1 win against Aldershot Town.[4] On 13 August 2024, he made his first start for the club in a 2–1 defeat to Fleetwood Town in the EFL Cup.[5]
On 21 August 2024, Whitwell signed a new contract extension running until 2026.[6] He made his first league appearance on 3 May 2025, on the final day of the 2024–25 season, in a 5–3 win against Luton Town.[7] On 8 August 2025, he signed another contract extension with the club.[8]
Forest Green Rovers (loan)
On 15 August 2025, Whitwell joined National League side Forest Green Rovers on a season-long loan.[9][10] On 20 August 2025, he scored on his debut for the club in a 4–0 win against Sutton United.[11]
International career
Whitwell has represented the England under-18 football team.[12]
