Keith Edwards is an American media personality and political strategist known for his work in political communications.[1][2]
Career
Edwards began his career as associate producer in the television production reality shows The Real Housewives of Miami and Wicked Single.[3]
Political analysis and public commentary
In 2019, he moved from film to political strategy co-ordination, joining the communications team of New York city council speaker, Corey Johnson.[2] He later worked on Michael Bloomberg's 2020 United States presidential campaign. In 2020, he was appointed the Director of Communications for The Lincoln Project.[4][5][6] The Linoln Project are republicans who stood against Donald Trump in the 2020 and 2024 United States presidential elections.[5][7][8] He led the anti-Trump ads from fellow republicans.[9][10][11] Edwards was profiled in the CBS' 60 Minutes about this work.[12] Following the 2020 election, Edwards later served as a senior digital advisor for Jon Ossoff's senate camapign in Georgia,[13] and then in 2022, he was Communications Director for Nikki Fried’s gubernatorial campaign in Florida.[14][15] He worked with Michigan state senator Mallory McMorrow,[16] California Senator Adam Schiff and U.S. Secretary of Transportation, Pete Buttigieg. He also writes a newsletter on Substack titled No Lies Detected.[17] In 2024, Edwards was one of 200 influencers invited to the Democratic National Convention.[18][19] Edwards was named one of Wired’s influencers shaping the 2024 election,[20] and was among the group of Gen Z audience invited to attend the State of the Union briefing at the White House by Joe Biden.[21] His work and analysis has been cited in outlets including The Washington Post, Washington Blade, CNN, The New Yorker, CBS News, Newsweek, and New York Magazine.[22][23][1]
