Leyla Qurbanova (born 31 October 1998) is an Azerbaijani freestyle wrestler. She is a two-time gold medalist at the Islamic Solidarity Games, winning in the 53 kg category in both 2017 Baku and 2021 Konya.

Career

Qurbanova competed at the 2017 Women's Freestyle Wrestling World Cup, finishing in 7th place with the Azerbaijani team.[1]

She won the gold medal at the 2015 World Junior Wrestling Championships and a silver medal at the 2015 European Junior Wrestling Championships. She was also the silver medalist at the 2017 European U23 Wrestling Championships and bronze medalist at the 2016 European U23 Wrestling Championships.[2]

Qurbanova won a bronze medal at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics in Nanjing in the 52 kg freestyle event.[3]

Personal life

She is the older sister of wrestler Hiunai Hurbanova.[4]
