Little Angels High School is a private co-educational secondary school located in the Rajbagh area of Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, India. Established as a kindergarten school in 1986, it expanded to a full-fledged high school in 1992, offering education up to the matriculation level. The school is affiliated with the Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education (JKBOSE). Its motto is Rise and Shine.

History

Founded by Amjad Agha, Little Angels High School holds a significant place in the educational history of Srinagar. It was one of the pioneering private institutions in the city to offer kindergarten teaching, a service predominantly provided only by notable Christian missionary schools and the other being S.P. School and Islamia School at the time of its establishment. This early focus on foundational education helped address a crucial need in the region. The school's growth from a kindergarten to a comprehensive high school by 1992 marked its commitment to providing continuous educational pathways for its students.

Administration and Organisation

The school is currently led by Chairman Amjad Agha, its founder, and Principal Faisal Agha. Little Angels High School is a co-educational institution serving students from Nursery to Grade 10. The academic structure is divided into four departments:

* Lower Primary Department: Nursery to Grade II
* Junior Department: Grades III to V
* Middle Department: Grades VI to VIII
* Senior Department: Grades IX and X

For fostering community and competitive spirit, the school operates a house system, with students divided into four houses named as: Red 🟥, Blue 🟦, Green 🟩, and Yellow 🟨. This system applies to both boys' and girls' departments.

Academics and Medium of Instruction

Little Angels High School follows the curriculum prescribed by the Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education (JKBOSE). English serves as the primary medium of instruction across all grades. The school places a strong emphasis on spoken English, with a policy requiring all students to communicate in English while on the school campus, aiming to enhance their linguistic proficiency.

Campus and Facilities

The school campus is situated in an urban setting within Rajbagh, Srinagar. It features modern classrooms, well-equipped science laboratories, a comprehensive library, and dedicated sports areas to support a holistic learning environment.
