Marcus is a 1959 Australian stage play by Alan Hopgood. Hopgood was better known as an actor but the play helped launch his writing career.[1]
Hopgood later called it "a very wanky play... a poetic allegory with seventy characters in it."[2]
The Age praised Hopgood's "promising way with words" and declared "this play because of its vigor and color and because it is always intelligent to listen to is well worth the patronage."[3]
