Miłkowice [miu̯kɔˈvit͡sɛ] is a village (former town) in Legnica County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland.[1] It is the seat of the administrative district (gmina) called Gmina Miłkowice. It lies approximately 9 km (6 mi) north-west of Legnica, and 71 km (44 mi) west of the regional capital Wrocław.
The suffix -dorf of the former German name Arnsdorf is typical for settlements founded by Germans during Medieval Ostsiedlung.[2]
