The Punjab Enforcement & Regulatory Authority (PERA) is a provincial government agency in Punjab, Pakistan. It was launched in July 2025 by Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif to address price control, hoarding and profiteering across the province.[1][2]
The force began operations in the Lahore Division and is planned to expand to all districts by December 2025.[3] PERA is tasked with market inspections, removal of encroachments, and regulatory enforcement. It operates with enforcement stations, modern equipment, and trained personnel, including female officers.[4][5]
PERA is headed by the Chief Minister as chairperson, with the Chief Secretary Punjab as vice chairperson, and a Director General overseeing daily operations.[6]
