Fiji requires its residents to register their motor vehicles and display vehicle registration plates.[1] Current plates issued by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) and are Australian standard 372 mm × 134 mm (14.6 in × 5.3 in), and use Australian stamping dies.[2] Motor vehicle registration numbers stay with the vehicle for it's life, and damaged registration plates are often remade in a newer style. LTA presses Fiji registration plates using aluminium blanks (reflective background, border, mounting holes and FIJI insert) manufactured in Australia.
