Season 1

Aftermath

Bill Randa: Hey, buddy. I don't know if this will get to you. I hope so. Actually, I don't, because it'll probably mean I'm dead, which you may not feel too busted up about. Sorry, I gotta keep this short. You may never forgive me for what I took from you, but I can't go back in time and fix all the mistakes that I made. But maybe I could leave something for the future: a legacy. And you'll realize it was all worth it.

Secrets and Lies

[Back in their facility, Keiko is still upset over Godzilla's seemingly death when Young Bill Randa enters]
Young Bill Randa: Keiko? [approaches her] You okay?
Keiko Randa: He shouldn’t have stopped me. [shudders]
Young Bill Randa: Yeah, he was being selfish. [Keiko turns away] What would've happened if he hadn't? You'd have been fired, arrested, probably deported. They would have set off that bomb anyway.
Young Lee Shaw: [enters] General called me in to discuss our funding. I figured, since we were going down anyway, might as well shoot for the moon. So I gave him a proposal, a string of Monarch outposts, extra staff, monitoring equipment, the works. He rejected it… said we didn’t ask for enough. [chuckles] They are giving us a blank check to find out if there are more of those out there.
Young Bill Randa: How the hell did you pull that off?
Young Lee Shaw: Well, I asked a simple question. What if the next one doesn’t pop up in the middle of the Pacific? What if it’s near New York or Washington?
Young Bill Randa: Well, then we gotta tell the whole world.
Young Lee Shaw: You’re saying that you want to go public with the details of a classified H-bomb explosion?
Young Bill Randa: Why not?
Young Lee Shaw: Because they electrocuted the Rosenbergs.
Keiko Randa: What if… Say we find another one… does the general need to know everything?
Young Lee Shaw: I’m sorry, are you suggesting that I lie to my superior officer?
Keiko Randa: No. But a lie and a secret are two different things.
Young Lee Shaw: I’m not sure the court-martial tribunal would see that distinction, Kei.
Keiko Randa: Do you trust us?
[Young Lee Shaw doesn't respond]
Young Bill Randa: Do you trust her?
Young Lee Shaw: [chuckles] Okay. All that I can tell him is what you tell me. And I trust that you will tell me everything that I need to know. Are you okay with that?
Keiko Randa: Are you?
Young Bill Randa: I'm fine with that. Yeah. Right?
Young Lee Shaw: [chuckles] Okay. Yeah.
Young Bill Randa: Yeah.
Young Lee Shaw: Yeah.
[The trio turn to look at Godzilla's muddy print]

Terrifying Miracles

Young Lee Shaw: If it's not one of our bogies, then what is it?
Young Bill Randa: The three most beautiful words in the English language: "I don't know".

Beyond Logic

Cate Randa: Kentaro, I'd like you to meet our grandmother. [Keiko turns to see Kentaro] This is my brother.
[Keiko stares in shock over meeting her grandson for the first time, as Brenda and Tim walk to them]
Brenda Holland: I hate to interrupt, but we’d like to get you into medical and debriefing. It's this way.
May Olowe-Hewitt: Brenda, what are you doing here?
Brenda Holland: Well, someone had to pay for all of this.
May Olowe-Hewitt: [to Tim] Are you working with her now?
Tim: It's complicated.
Kentaro Randa: A lot's changed in the past two years.
Cate Randa: Two years?
[An alarm sound blares as security personnel run back inside the research station]
Tim: Shall we go? [brings May inside] Come on. Let's go, let's go, let's go. Go, go.
May Olowe-Hewitt: What the hell is going on?
Brenda Holland: Only everything I ever promised you.
[Cate stops and turns around to look when Tim grabs her]
Tim: Come on. [brings Cate inside]
[Cut to outside the Apex research station as the rest of security run inside and the camera pans over to Skull Island where Kong trudges through the island, beats his chest and roars]
