The Magic School Bus (Season 1)

Ms. Frizzle: As I always say class, you're out of this world.

Carlos: Oh no, you don't! You just want to grab more stuff!

Janet: Hey I'm just trying to help! If you want to play "Let's find Ms. Frizzle without a map" for the rest of your life, that's FINE with me!

[Janet, she storms off in a huff.]

Janet: [sighs and huffs] Hmph!

[Takes a seat on her planetary samples.]

Arnold: Ms. Frizzle might be on Saturn. Couldn't she?

[Wanda is in control of the bus and says...!]

Wanda: OK, ARNOLD! BUT IT IS YOUR DUTY TO KEEP YOUR CRAZY COUSIN UNDER CONTROL!

[Wanda --from offscreen-- runs to Arnold, scoops him up, gets him bound on his cousin Janet's lap, buckles him down with the seatbelt on his cousin's lap, and makes him sit there through the entire rescue mission for finding Ms. Frizzle. Arnold --happily-- totally agrees with Wanda's idea. And she --Wanda-- makes Arnold prevent any dangerous actions with their rescue mission. Then she runs back to the driver's seat.]

Arnold: No one is better than Ms. Frizzle.

Janet: Oh, yeah? Prove it!

Arnold: Stop The Bus!

Janet: Arnold told me all about your field trips, Dorothy Ann.

Dorothy Ann: W-what did he say?!

Janet: That they were, and I quote, highly unusual.

[The bus has enough. And it drops out all of Janet's planetary samples. Janet then falls out from the bus's emergency exit door.]

Janet: THERE IS NO WAY I AM GOING HOME WITHOUT MY STUFF!

[Janet says she is not going home until she has her stuff. But Arnold, he says he is not going home until he has her. That is, as he --Arnold-- says...!]

Arnold: Oh yeah? Well, there is no way I am going home without you!

Janet: IT IS PROOF! NOBODY IS GOING TO BELEIVE ME WITHOUT IT!

Arnold: I will believe you. They will believe you.

[Well, Janet still refuses. She thinks she would be happy if she is on Pluto. That is, so she can be there with her planetary possessions. And Arnold, he forces the issue. That is, as he says...!]

Arnold: JANET?! YOU WANT PROOF!? I AM GOING TO GIVE YOU PROOF! HERE IS PROOF OF WHAT WOULD HAPPEN TO YOU IF YOU STAY HERE WITH YOUR STUFF!

Janet: [pleads] ARNOLD?! PLEASE NO!

[Despite Janet's pleads, Arnold --who shows Janet what happens if she was on Pluto with her stuff-- removes his helmet and it freezes him. After his head freezes, he turns into a block of ice. And a block of ice encases his head. This forces Janet to leave Pluto immediately. And Janet says...!]

Janet': [shocked] OH CUZ!

[The scene cuts to the inside of the bus. Janet forgets about her possessions --her planetary samples-- and grabs her cousin Arnold. Then she and the rest of the class all immediately carry Arnold back into the bus. And finally, Janet, she says...!]

Janet: [as she and the class are carrying Arnold] BACK TO EARTH! AND STEP ON IT!

[After Janet and the class rush Arnold and --successfully-- get him back on the bus, Ms. Frizzle steps on the engine. And the bus flies back to Earth.]

[In the Producer Says segment.]

Plutonian Alien: And another thing, if an astronaut does make it to Pluto, they better not take their helmet off.

[As the Plutonian Alien --on the male producer's phone-- says this, the television shows stock footage. The stock footage shows the scene where Arnold took off his helmet and he turned into a block of ice. That is, to demonstrate to Janet what would happen if she is on Pluto.]

Phoebe: How was I supposed to know that she'd have digestive scuba gear?

Carlos: We have to find Wanda before she gets dried up into a raisin.

Ralphie: A raisin? Cool.

Students: Ralphie!

Wanda: ARRRNNNOOOLLLDDD!

Arnold: What? I've heard my stomach growl before, but talk?

Wandaː arnold are you about to eat ralphie mallow blaster.

Arnold: You mean I was the field trip?!

Phoebe: At my old school we were only afraid of lunch meat!

Ralphie: I'm seeing myself from the inside out.

Ms. Frizzle: [to Ralphie] Oh, I think you better take it easy, Ralphie. Your body is telling you to...!

[After Ms. Frizzle starts these first words in normal voice, she says the final word in a slow motion. That is, as she says...!]

Ms. Frizzle: [in a deep and slow motion voice] S-L-O-W DOWN.

Carlos: It's a short cut. Get it? Short cut?

Students: Carlos! Yuck!

Ralphie: What's going on?

Ms. Frizzle: We're here to get the inside story.

Ralphie: Food chain? A chain of food? I can get into that.

Keesha: Me too. Phytoplankton, Zooplankton, Fish, and People too. We're all in a food chain, scum, this fish, and you.

Bella: Bella!

Herman: Herman!

[After the bus transforms into a bessy bug]

Arnold: Wow! A bessy bus; now I've seen everything!

Arnold: Field trip tip number 107: To avoid being eaten, become inedible. What does that mean?!

Ms Frizzle: Class, Do I hear a suggestion to avoid digestion?

Phoebe: I might have made a mistake about that lizard. And I might have made a mistake about that jackrabbit. And I might have even made a mistake about that tortoise, but there's one thing I know I'm not wrong about.

Arnold: How much you wish you'd stayed home today?

Arnold: Aah! Yikes! Ah! All I've got to say is, If I meet anybody I can see through, I'm outta here.

Ms. Frizzle: Oh, Whoa. No need to be hasty, Arnold.

Phoebe: At my old school we never got baked. except for the time the air conditioning went.

Arnold: We're toast!

Dorothy Ann: Well, Technically, No, But you've got the right idea.

Dorothy Ann: Listen, A force is just a push or a pull.

Carlos: [to Dorothy Ann, who's talking about physics] If you're going to force us to listen to this...

Tim: You're being kind of pushy, don't you think?

[Carlos and Tim high five.]:

Dorothy Ann: No no, I'm talking about real forces. Picture this. There's this big red sled sitting in the snow. Not going anywhere, But if somebody comes along and gives it a push....

[Phoebe doesn't want to get off the bus of fear of Mr. Seedplot seeing them]

Arnold: Maybe you should have stayed home today, Phoebe.

Ms. Frizzle: Nice propulsion, Arnold!

Arnold: Thank you, Ms. Frizzle!

Keesha: Keep shooting, Liz!

Ralphie: I'm Weatherman! Of course I know what I'm doing. [whispers to himself] Now what am I doing?
