Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man
Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is an American animated television series created by Jeff Trammell for the streaming service Disney+, based on the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man. It is the 12th television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) from Marvel Studios and is produced by Marvel Studios Animation. The series explores Peter Parker's origin story and early days as Spider-Man, and is set in an alternate timeline from the main films and television series of the MCU where Norman Osborn becomes Peter's mentor instead of Tony Stark. Trammell serves as showrunner and head writer, with Mel Zwyer as supervising director.
The first season of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man premiered with its first two episodes on Disney+ on January 29, 2025, with the remaining episodes released in groups until February 19, as part of Phase Five of the MCU. The second season is expected to premiere in 2026, as part of Phase Six. A third season is in development.
Season 1
"Amazing Fantasy"
- Spider-Man: (after defeating a group of live-streaming criminals who were chasing Harry Osborn) Just consider it a good deed from your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. That's me, by the way, I am, I'm Spider-Man.
"The Parker Luck"
- Peter Parker: I thought you were in charge."
- Amadeus Cho: I am. They just don't know it yet."
- Peter Parker: I know I messed up today, Mr. Osborn. I messed up so much today, and I wish that I could explain why, but I can't. If I could, I— Well, you know what? It doesn't matter. I just— You gotta believe me when I say that I can do better. I can be better. Just don't fire me, please. Give me another chance.
- Norman Osborn: (shows Peter footage off him dressing as Spider-Man) So, you're Spider-Man.
"Secret Identity Crisis"
- Peter Parker: There's nothin' to worry about. Everything is fine. You're just meeting up with Norman Osborn to discuss the fact that he knows you're... Spider-Man. This is totally, perfectly, incredibly fine.
"Hitting the Big Time"
- Norman Osborn: We need more heroes than ever. Stronger, better heroes. Heroes that aren't one bad day away from a gamma-fueled rampage. Heroes that won't decimate an entire country trying to shut down a mad AI that they themselves created. We need heroes who will take accountability for their actions and live up to what they represent.
"The Unicorn Unleashed!"
- Roxanna Volkov: Makes you look like a rhino, yes?
- Unicorn: Нет, нет. I'm more like a... единорог.
- Mikhail Sytsevich: Ah, yes. The unicorn.
"Duel with the Devil"
- Spider-Man: You're... really good... at fighting.
- Daredevil: Thanks. You're not.
- Spider-Man: Whatever! I'm definitely getting better. And if I catch the actual devil... during a B&E... that's gotta make me, like, the greatest crimefighter of all time.
"Scorpion Rising"
- Peter Parker: You're incredible, and Lonnie knows it.
- Pearl Pangan: Then, why won't he just talk to me? We're supposed to be partners and he doesn't trust me enough to tell me what he's going through! How am I supposed to not think it's me?
- Scorpion: Don't tell me you're too afraid to fight a Scorpion?
"Tangled Web"
- May Parker: I was scared too, you know. When it became just you and me. I mean, I thought Ben would be here to help me.
- Peter Parker: May, it's okay. You have been more than enough.
- May Parker: No, Peter, I love you, and I'm here for you. But... But you're growin' up, and... I know Ben could have been your role model.
"Hero or Menace"
- Scorpion: A spider should never take its eyes off a scorpion.
- Nico Minoru: (to Peter) Seeing you today, watching you save people and not even thinking about the risk to yourself... I saw a hero. The same one that saved me last year at Midtown.
- Norman Osborn: You're capable of incredible things. With all your talents, you could easily do whatever you please. Yet you choose to show mercy. To be a hero. That's a tough road to follow, probably the toughest. There's gonna be moments where you stray, everyone does. But you found your way back, and at the end of the day, that's all that matters.
"If This Be My Destiny..."
- Doctor Strange: Norman Osborn, I am Doctor Stephen Strange, and your experiment must not continue. You are opening the door to the cosmos, and you cannot even comprehend the unimaginable horrors that lie beyond it. On behalf of the sorcerers of the world, I'm putting an end to this.
- Norman Osborn: 'The sorcerers'? Is that a new group of superhuman lunatics I'm supposed to be aware of?
- Spider-Man: Could you tell me what to expect? I... I wanna make sure I'm ready for whatever comes next.
- Doctor Strange: Even if I knew, I wouldn't be able to tell you. But something tells me... you're ready.
- Richard Parker: I gotta say, I didn't expect you to come, but you look as lovely as ever. You doing well?
- May Parker Yeah. As well as can be expected.
- Richard Parker: Hmm. I hear you. But, yeah, I know you're not here for small talk. Let's get down to brass tacks. So, May... how's my son doing?
(elsewhere, Peter is swinging around the streets as Spider-Man while being noticed by cheering bystanders)
- Spider-Man: (to himself) All right, Parker. You heard the magical wizard. Whatever comes next, you can handle it.
- Boy: Whoa, hey, Spider-Man.
- Woman: Wow! Hi.
- Spider-Man: And even if I can't, I'll figure it out. (chuckles) After all... I'm Spider-Man!
