- Holotype: lost fide Covacevich (1971).
- Neotype: QM J23660, collected by C. Morris and A. Merrit on 22 July 1973. [designated by Ingram & Covacevich (1988: 336)]
- Type locality: “Brisbane”, redesigned by neotype designation to “Mt. Coot-tha, Brisbane, SE Queensland (27°29'S, 152°57'E)” by Ingram & Covacevich (1988: 336).
Synonyms
- Ablepharus burnetti sydneyensis Copland, 1949: 362 [synonymised by Ingram & Covacevich (1988: 336)]
- Holotype: AM R18589 (Copland collection 3061), presented by S.J. Copland on 21 May 1946.
- Type locality: “Mt. Riverview Lookout, near Blaxland”, New South Wales.
