- Holotype: PNM 17804, adult ♂, 5 Apr 1993
- Type locality: 3.1 km south and 1.0 km east of the peak (2,064 m) of Mr. Busa in the Pange River Drainage, Municipality of Kiamba, Sarangani Province, Mindanao, Philippines (ca. 6°05'N, 124°41'E), elevation 1,321 m.
