- Holotype: BMNH 1947.2.19.92 (formerly 1936.12.3.82).
- Type locality: “in the island of Inchy, archipelago of Chonos, north part of Cape Tres Montes, from the same great height as Bufo chilensis (from 500 to 2500 feet elevation) under a stone”, Chile.
