Type locality: Mexico, Jalapa.
Type material: USNM. Holotype male by monotypy.

- Notes: Thrinacia pontia and Pseudomya musca were synonymized with Saurita ochracea (Felder, 1874) by Hampson, 1898:272 [3]. Laguerre (2025) reestablished Apeplopoda musca as bona species (separate from Apeplopoda ochracea), and synonymized Apeplopoda pontia with Apeplopoda musca.
