- Holotype: MNRJ 14549, adult ♀, collected by C.M. Carvalho, A. Silva and L.M. da Silva on 3 January 1979.
- Type locality: “BRAZIL, AMAZONAS, Municipality of Humaitá, Igarapé do Banheiro (07°31′S, 63°00′W)”.
- Synonymised with Chiasmocleis hudsoni Parker, 1940, by Peloso, Sturaro, Forlani, Gaucher, Motta & Wheeler (2014: 20).
