- Type locality: “Penang”, Malaysia.

- Syntypes (n=4): BMNH, 3♂ and 1♀, collected by S.S. Flower in March 1896.
- Type locality: “two small caves in the rocks at the “Crag” Penang, at an elevation of 2200 feet”.
