- Holotype: NMSL (AMB 7495), adult ♂, collected by A.M. Bauer, A. de Silva and C.A. Austin on 15 November 2002.
- Type locality: “Sri Lanka, Central Province, Nuwara Eliya District, Hakgala, Hakgala Botanic Gardens (6°55’30’’ N, 80°49’15’’ E), 1660m”.
Native distribution areas
- Sri Lanka: Central Province: Hakgala, Agarapatana and Ohiya.
