Name
Coryphocerina Burmeister, 1842: 215 [as Coryphoceridae]
NOTE: Some sources cite the name "Rhomborhinina Westwood, 1842", and treat it as having precedence over Coryphocerina. However, Westwood's use, at one point (p. 120), of the plural genus form "Rhomborhinae" to refer to all members of the genus Rhomborhina, explicitly does not constitute a family-rank name under ICZN Article 11.7.1.2.
See Bouchard & Bousquet, 2020 for usage of "Rhomborhinina"
- Type genus: Coryphocera Burmeister, 1842.
