Culoptila cascada Blahnik & Holzenthal, 2006
Type locality: Costa Rica, Cartago, Reserva Tapanti, Quebrada Palmitos and falls, ca. 9 km (road) NW tunnel, 09º43′12″N, 083º46′48″W, 1400m.
Holotype: UMSP. male. UMSP000000495. 1-2.VIII.1990. Holzenthal , Blahnik & Muñoz.
Etymology
The name cascada, Spanish for falls, was given to this species because all of the type material was collected in the vicinity of small falls or cascades.
