- Holotype: ZSI 22386, collected by D.P. Sanyal on 1 May 1966.
- Type locality: “Campbell Bay, Great Nicobar Island”.
Native distribution areas
- India: central and southern Nicobar Island groups: Great Nicobar, Little Nicobar, Pilo Milo, Nancowry, Camorta, Trinkat, Katchall, Tarasa, Tilanchong, Bompoka and Chowra islands.
