Encephalartos bubalinus Melville
Etymology
From Latin bubalinus, bubulinus - of cattle or oxen, i.e. dull brown, the colour of the tomentum (i.e. covering of fine hairs) on the cataphylls (i.e. modified protective leaves) and leaf bases.

Southern Kenya and northern Tanzania
