Name

Euclystis Hübner, 1823

Type species: Euclystis centurialis Hübner, 1823, by monotypy.

Synonymy

  • Euclystis Hübner, 1823: 20; Hampson, 1926: 524. (Note reported at by subsquent designation in Nye, 1975: 192).
  • Euclistis [sic] Hübner, 1823; in Hübner, 1826 (misspelling, see Hodges, 1989: 126)

    • Type species: Focilla centurialis (Hübner, 1823): 333, by subsequent designation in Desmarest, 1857: 134 [also in 2nd reprint 1876: 134] per Nye, 1975: 192. (Therefore a junior objective synonym of Euclystis Hübner, 1823 due to identical type species). [Type not Focilla sytis Guénée, 1852, by subsequent designation, as indicated by others, e.g. Hampson, 1926: 524].
    • Original included species:
      • Focilla sytis Guenée, 1852; 333

    • Type species: Galapha antecedens Walker, 1858, per Hampson, 1926: 524. [To verify]
