Geomys lutescens Merriam, 1890
- Holotype: USNM 16677 (= USNM A23595), adult ♂, skin and skull, collected by A.B. Baker on 27 May 1889.
- Type locality: “Sand Hills, Birdwood Creek, Lincoln County, Nebraska”.
