Lygisaurus macfarlani (Günther, 1877)
- Lectotype: BMNH 1946.8.16.49, collected by Samuel MacFarlane. [designated by Ingram & Covacevich (1988: 350)]
- Type locality: “Somerset and in the islands of Torres Straits”, restricted by lectotype designation to “Darnley Island” by Ingram & Covacevich (1988: 351).
- Paralectotypes (n=2): BMNH 1946.8.16.50-51, same data as lectotype.

Native distribution areas
- Australia: Northern Territory and Queensland (including Torres Strait Islands).
