- Holotype: NHMG 1306001, adult ♂, collected by Yunming Mo and Shichu Zhou on 15 June 2013.
- Type locality: “a completely dark karst cave of Lipu County, Guangxi, China (110°26′ E, 24°38′ N; altitude: 182 m a.s.l.)”.
- Etymology: Named after Lipu County, Guangxi
