- Holotype: BMNH 1946.1.5.54, adult ♂, collected by H. Cuming between 1836–1840.
- Type locality: “Philippine Islands” restricted to “Negros Oriental Province, Negros Island” by Leviton (1963: 474).
Native distribution areas
- Philippine Islands: Negros, Tablas and Panay.
