- Type locality: BORNEO: Sabah, Danum Valley, Borneo Rainforest Lodge, Flight interception trap.
- Holotype: Collection Guillaume de Rougemont, London, ♀, 14-16.II.2007, G. de Rougemont leg.
- Etymology: The species is named "irregular" in reference to the unique form of the spermatheca, which was hitherto unknown in this genus.
