- Holotype: CAS 10339, adult of undetermined sex, collected by Joseph Slevin on 1 November 1905.
- Type locality: “Puerto Villamil (-0.95622, -90.97023; 3 m), Isabela Island, Galápagos, Ecuador”.
- Paratypes (n=2): CAS 11245, adult of undetermined sex, collected by Joseph Slevin at the type locality on 9 March 1906; CAS 10351, adult of undetermined sex, collected by Francis Williams at the type locality on 3 November 1905.
Native distribution areas
- Ecuador: Galápagos Islands: Isabela Island (central and southern parts), Fernandina Island, Cowley Islet and Tortuga Islet.
