Protopterus annectens (Owen, 1839)
- Type locality: Gambia River, western Africa.
- Holotype (unique): RCSE uncat. (not found). Detailed description with figures appeared in Owen 1840. It is uncertain whether the holotype is/was deposited at RCSE or RCSHC.
