Holotype: AMNH 116332, subadult ♂.
Type locality: “1 mile (1.6 km.) north of Puerto del Gallo, [17˚27'N, 100˚09'W], at an elevation of approximately 9000 feet (~2750 m.) on Cerro Teótepec, State of Guerrero, Mexico”.
