- Holotype: MTSN 006TA, adult ♂, collected by M. Menegon and S. Salvidio between 2-6 January 1999.
- Type locality: “Kihanga valley, Uzungwa Scarp Forest Reserve (Luhega), Udzungwa Mountains, South Eastern Tanzania at 1780 m above sea level (08°22′24″S, 35°58′43″E)”.
