Synodontis macrostoma Skelton & White, 1990
- Holotype: AMG P11687.
- Paratypes: AMG P11688 (11) .
Type locality: Namibia, Caprivi, Upper Zambezi River at Katima Mulilo.[1]
Etymology: The species name is composed of the Greek makros (= long), and stoma (= mouth), and refers to the relatively large mouth of the species.
