- Syntypes (n=7): BMNH 1946.1.2.26—1946.1.2.29 (formerly 86.4.21.5—86.4.21.6, 86.2.1.3—86.2.1.4) and MNHN-RA 95.117 (3 specimens).
- Type locality: “The mountains between Travancore and Tinnevelly, above Paupanassum, 3000 to 5000 feet elevation”.
