Holotype: NMZB 16181, adult ♂, collected by a Frontier-Tanzania team on 18 February 1999.
Type locality: “Amani Nature Reserve (Kwamkoro/Kwemsambia Forest Reserve), East Usambara Mountains (05º07' S: 38º39' E)”.
