Type locality: Mexico, Michoacán, Morelia.

Type material: Holotype male ♂, BMNH, legit F.D. Godman.
(Note: Stated as lost per Laguerre, 2024, contra Vincent & Laguerre, 2014 with "Undisclosed number of syntypes (BMNH; one male syntype labeled TYPE)". See also Zaspel & Weller, 2006 with inferences from alleged specimen in USNM ("NMNH")).
