The Portal Japiim: Dicionário Ye'kwana defines this term simply as ‘minha prima’ (‘my female cousin’), but it is unclear what relations it actually specifically refers to; Ye’kwana kinship terms for parallel cousins are identical to those for siblings, so such a definition without any mention of siblings would seem unlikely. However, the term is clearly related to the first-person possessed form ödümö of jadui (“younger sister or female parallel cousin”), and the first-person possessed form ödüya'kö of jadaanü (“daughter-in-law”) is apparently the diminutive of this term and so the two may share meanings.
